The Virgin Breastfeeding the Child

In the Tableaux list (see Catalogue of Paintings of the House of Alba, José M. Pita Andrade, 1960, volume I, page 54-58) it appears as having been purchased in Florence on January 19, 1814 and with the following description: “Vierge et Enfant Jesus, un des meilleurs tableaux du maítre.”
