H.M.I. Doña María Eugenia de Guzmán, Countess of Teba, Empress of the French

This magnificent portrait, one of the author's most important works and a model of the artistic taste of the time, was given by S.M.I. to his brother-in-law the 8th Duke of Berwick and 15th Duke of Alba.

Written on the top: “MARIA EUGENIA GUZMAN COMITISSA TEBAE GALLORUM IMPERATRIX. MDCCCLXII”. In the lower part the author's signature and the date 1862.
